The restaurant formerly known as The Bird Southern Table & Bar has relaunched with a new name: Yardbird Southern Table & Bar. It has officially adopted the moniker of its parent company after a successful first year at Marina Bay Sands.

Yardbird Southern Table & Bar is part of US-based restaurant group 50 Eggs, Inc. The group’s founder and CEO, John Kunkel, was in Singapore recently for the relaunch, which included tasty new additions to the menu as well as a new-look alfresco dining area.

The restaurant has introduced the Great American Brunch, available on weekends, offering indulgent treats like biscuits and gravy. Yardbird’s award-winning corporate executive pastry chef, Hedy Goldsmith, has also created new items like the Banana Split Brownie Sundae and the picture-perfect Doughnut Tree and Funfetti Pancakes. New additions to the lunch and dinner menu include the lobster and shrimp rolls and the Truffle & Foie Gras Roasted Whole Young Hen—a great belly-filler before you catch the hottest new musical in town.

The 200-seater restaurant has also refreshed the look of its alfresco dining space on Level 1 with the expansion of the outdoor seating area. “If you’re exercising, you can stop by for a fresh juice. And parents can let their kids play on scooters along the walkway while they sit and have a Bloody Mary. As a father of three kids myself, it sounds like a fun thing I would want to do,” Kunkel says.

Yardbird Singapore’s bar also boasts some of Asia’s best whiskey selections and serves up great speciality cocktails. Spelling comfort with a capital “C” is its Classic Gin Tonic, while Tropical Tonic with lemongrass syrup and lychee nut boasts a twist. And keeping Yardbird Singapore on the heels of its global peers is its signature Bloody Mary—it’s what weekends were made for.
